Description

Our unique blend of friendly and subtle hospitality with high service standards and affordable prices  ensures that your expectations are exceeded. The frequency at which our Guests return to visit us  bears testimony to our name “happy place”. We look forward to you becoming a member of the  Tsakane family. Our dedicated central reservations will tailor-make a safari for you. Tsakane -  especially close to nature - for you.  We are situated in the Balule Private Nature Reserve and Greater Kruger National Park – Home to  Africa’s Big Five – Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo. The camp has been carefully designed  to integrate with the natural environment and is unfenced thereby enhancing the wilderness ambiance.  Accommodation facilities are comfortable and vary from en-suite chalets to luxury en-suite safari tents  and stilted huts.  Prices includes and exclude the following:  Includes: Accommodation on a fully catered  basis (brunch, lunch and dinner), Tsakane bar and refreshments, all Tsakane activities including game  drives and bush walks, conservation levy.  Excludes:  Balule Entrance fees, Travel and medical  evacuation.  Recreational amenities include a remote lounge, traditional dinner Boma and viewing deck, splash pool,  Jacuzzi and cosy bar. Safari activities include game drives in open game viewing vehicles and last  between two and four hours. Guided bush walks are conducted by our resident trail rangers who  together boast some fifty years guiding experience. Tsakane always provides a special experience and  your visit may include a dinner for two under a remote tree, a bush braai or sleep out under  the stars.

Accommodation

Tsakane Safari Camp is a small and intimate camp. Accommodation is provided in three en-suite and air-conditioned stilted chalets and two en-suite luxury safari tents. We are often complemented on our cleanliness. The camp has a sparkling splash pool, relaxation lounge, bar, conference lapa and open-air boma. The camp is not fenced and designed to integrate with the natural surrounding bush. Elephant, Buffalo and a variety of game species are often viewed from the camp at our nearby waterhole, while Lion carry out camp inspection during the night.
Our chalets are continually and discreetly serviced during the day ensuring your comfort.

Directions

Between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa. From Tzaneen take the R71 towards Gravelotte, then take the R526 to Mica. At intersession turn left, 500m turn right into Rio Dos Elephant and Balule Game Reserve. Follow the sign posts marked for Tsakane Safari Camp.
